Book are Fun ran an internal contest with their sales representatives and Taste of Home selected the above name from submissions from two different Books Are Fun’s sales reps, Dennis Stauffer and Anne Bayne. African Einstein Institute

The African Einstein Initiative is starting in Ghana at several different schools and they hope to branch out when their organization becomes big enough.

The toy is really fun and the big bubble solution works pretty well too. The only problem is that there are no refill containers of big bubble mix currently available for the Unbelievabubble big bubble sword in the United States.

Ronda's winning Peanut Butter Chocolate Cupcakes recipe was selected from over 14,400 submissions in the Taste of Home Teachers Recipe Contest sponsored by Books Are Fun. Her cupcakes not only earned Ronda a $20,000 check, but also earned her school, Sunset Lake Elementary in Vicksburg, Michigan, $20,000 as well.

The 2nd Place recipe is a Chicken Marsala Lasagna.

A Representative from Taste of Home said, “The top two recipes were so close that we had to have a taste-off and discussion last Thursday to decide the winner.”

The winner of this 2^nd place entrée is Debbie Shannon from Rossville Elementary in Rossville Georgia.

A $10,000 check was presented to principal Robin Samples on behalf of Rossville Elementary and another $10,000 check was presented to Debbie Shannon for her submission of the Chicken Marsala Lasagna. These checks were presented at an all school assembly at 2 p.m. EST this afternoon. Congratulations Debbie, your recipe was selected second out of more than 14,000 recipe submissions.

The 3^rd Place recipe is a Quinoa and Black Bean Salad.

A Representative from Taste of Home said, “It was entered in the healthy category, but it is SO good that you'd eat it whether you wanted to eat right or not. It's a great mix of flavors and textures. It really surprised us!”

The winner of this amazing dish is Yvonne Compton from Elkton Charter School in Elkton Oregon. A $5,000 check was presented to principal Mike Hughes on behalf of Elkton Charter school and another $5,000 check was presented to Yvonne Compton for her submission of the Quinoa and Black Bean Salad. These checks were presented at an all school assembly at 9 a.m. PST this morning.

Congratulations Yvonne, your recipe was selected third out of more than 14,000 recipe submissions.

The Taste of Home Teacher’s Recipe contest presented by Books Are Fun officially ended at 11:59 p.m., CST November 30, 2010.

Books Are Fun will award more than $70,000 in cash and prizes for the best original submitted recipes chosen by the staff at Taste of Home, with $20,000 awarded to BOTH the grand prize winner and the affiliated school.

FIRST PRIZE

One Grand Prize Winner will be chosen as the best recipe from all contest entries and will win $20,000 plus a $20,000 donation to his or her school! All full-time teachers, administrators and staff at the school will win a one-year subscription to Taste of Home magazine.

SECOND PRIZE

One Second Place Winner will be chosen from all contest entries and will win $10,000 plus a $10,000 donation to his or her school!

THIRD PRIZE

One Third Place Winner will be chosen from all contest entries and will win $5,000 plus a $5,000 donation to his or her school!
